Caps Huet saves the season

So back in February I was wondering what Washington was doing when they brought on Cristobal Huet.  Kolzig is an excellent net-minder and I've always enjoyed watching him play.  He's at the end of a contract and probably close to the end of his time in Hockey as well.  So I figured the Caps were in the market for a new net-minder.  The decision to go with Huet has definitely payed them dividends.  With a stat line that looks like 34 W, 14 L, 3 T and a very competitive GAA of 2.32 he has really impressed the DC fan base.
I look forward to this post-season play.  Philadelphia poses some interesting problems for the Caps.  Their outstanding defensive play and hard hitting can stand up very well against the Caps sometimes single sided offense.  The ability of the Caps to prevent themselves in getting in short situations will help them as Philadelphia can have scoring issues in games played primarily at full strength.
Check back next time and we'll see if I can score some post-season hockey tickets.  I know the DC area has been waiting a long time for hockey playoffs in this area.
